Hasn’t everyone fallen in love with their best friend’s guy or gal? Put that teen-age crisis at the heart of a story filled with a Duke, servants, young lords and ladies - all desperately in love – and mix it with a heroine in disguise, a gang of benevolent outlaws and a dog and you have this heady mix of comedy and near tragedy. Shakespeare’s great theme that true love can only be found in selflessness is the central celebration of this buoyant, hilarious presentation, produced in faithful, Elizabethan style.
